Memetric: Final Lifeforms
Description
The game, originally developed by FatalCage based on the Memetric demo 1.3 (2018), became part of the currently active CloudCage Studio in 2024. The full release of the game is expected in 2025, following a redesign.
The core gameplay revolves around side-scrolling strategy set in a sci-fi world. The main characters’ goal is to restart life on a planet after an extinction event.
Depending on the player’s progress, they can breed various unique creatures to generate resources (energy). This energy can be used to upgrade walls, lasers, mines, and other defensive tools.
The game features a passive development system. Your tools evolve in a direction the system deems most beneficial for you.
And what are these defenses for?
They protect against mold, which spreads like an infection, destroying your wild animal life. The game includes a medium-length story that connects the five terrariums and side missions within the game.
Additionally, there’s a more open dialogue system with NPCs, allowing for different responses. Your various replies can build different relationships with NPCs, influencing the story’s progression but not affecting the final outcome.
THIS GAME IS IN EARLY ACCESS!
